Globant honors Brazilian at the fifth edition of the Women that Build Awards in Latin America
Ana Carolina Gomes do Prado , a native of Minas Gerais and a project manager at NDD Tech , has won recognition in the ‘ tech leader ’ category and will now compete for the global award .
Globant , a digital-native company focused on reinventing businesses through innovative technological solutions , has announced the Latin American winners of the fifth edition of the Women that Build Awards . Among them is Brazilian Ana Carolina Gomes do Prado , a project manager in the technology sector , who won in the ‘ tech leader ’ category of the awards .
“ The Women that Build Awards are committed to transforming career opportunities and development for all women in technology . Not only within Globant but also from Globant to the world ,” said Wanda Weigert , Global Brand Director and CEO of Globant . “ We understand that the need for change is systemic and involves effective coordination with different institutions , from universities to other companies .”
With over 20 years of experience in the technology sector , Gomes do Prado holds a degree in Information Science and has postgraduate degrees in Project Management , Business , Innovation and Leadership . She has also worked at nationally recognized companies in technology , innovation and business consulting .
“ Being recognized with this award is a message that it ’ s ‘ possible ’ for us to be fully capable and qualified to be female leaders in technology . It breaks glass ceilings and opens doors for future generations to continue empowering themselves ,” said Gomes do Prado .
In addition to Gomes do Prado , the fifth edition of the WTB honored two other professionals from Latin America . These include Chilean Sofia Graudo in the ‘ tech entrepreneur ’ category and Colombian Paula Gallego , recognized as ‘ tech executive ’. The regional winners will receive scholarships from the Udemy online platform and CoachHub licenses to access courses in technology , business , leadership and wellbeing , along with recognition trophies . They will also have the opportunity to participate in and network at celebratory events .
With regional recognition , they will also compete for the global WTB award , which includes recognition at Converge , Globant ’ s main technology event , a round-trip ticket to the event held in Los Angeles , and their names displayed on the iconic NYSE billboard in Times Square in 2025 .
Fifth Edition of the WTB
The fifth edition of the award received 2,980 nominations , featured 612 candidates , garnered more than 25,000 votes and spanned 25 countries . Since its launch , the award has accumulated over 350,000 votes , more than 6,500 candidates , with the support of over 170

organizations , and involved more than 270 international judges .
