Welcome to the latest edition of Intelligent Tech Channels for Latin America . We are excited to bring you all the latest news and views concerning the channel ecosystem from the region . To start us off , we hear from Sandra Maura , CEO of TOPMIND , who explains that companies increasingly rely on information and data to drive business growth and achieve success . With the advancement of technology and the growing amount of available data , Big Data has become a valuable tool .

“ Big Data is present in various areas , including sales , marketing , healthcare , finance , transportation , industry , science and government ,” says Maura .

Elsewhere in the magazine , on p49 John Richard Martin , Manager of Wiring Solutions for the Andean , Central American and the Caribbean at Furukawa Solutions , explains how his brand helps the channel adapt to the current technological trends . He tells us : “ The channels are our extended arms and our eyes . We seek to understand and serve the market through them , providing innovative solutions that generate value and build trusted , long-term relationships .”
On p51 – 52 , José Cornejo , Business Development Manager for Hispanic America , Intel , tells us how his company ’ s channel program continues to evolve . “ We have been transforming the way we work with our partners significantly . About 10 years ago , we managed a channel program that was heavily focused on local integrators , and this has been evolving and continues to evolve ,” says Cornejo . “ Currently , what we bring to the table for our channels are tools that enable them in the necessary technologies so that they can create services and solutions for their clients , thereby monetizing both their businesses and those of their clients .”
On the following pages we ask Alexander Rojas , Corporate Sales Manager , MediaTek , and Nestor Bergero , Chief Technology Officer , Claro Colombia , their views on how the needs of companies in terms of connectivity and mobility change with the rise of 5G networks .
